Scandinavia Screen Arts Festival (SSAF) is a prestigious film festival dedicated to discovering and celebrating exceptional short films from filmmakers worldwide. SSAF focuses heavily on high artistic standards, cinematic storytelling, and auteur-driven projects. While celebrating all genres of short fiction, the festival places a special emphasis on character-driven narratives, escapism, and historical period pieces.

Movies may be no longer than 40 minutes. Submissions for 2026 will be done via FilmFreeway. (Link comes soon, keep updated!) and closes August 31st. The selected shorts will be screened at our venue in Stockholm on October 31st. The categories for the competitors are:
